This rich, creamy baked chocolate cheesecake is the ultimate indulgent dessert to share with friends and family. So easy to make and tastes just heavenly! A real delight for chocoholics.
Serves 10 – 12
What you need
250g plain chocolate biscuits, crushed
100g butter, melted
500g cream cheese, softened
395g can condensed milk
½ cup thickened cream
375g packet NESTLÉ Dark Melts, melted
What to do
1. Preheat oven to 160°C/140°C fan forced.
2. Combine biscuit crumbs and butter, mix well. Press into base and sides of a 24cm springform pan, refrigerate until firm.
3. Using an electric mixer or food processor, beat cream cheese and condensed milk until thick and creamy, add eggs and cream, then beat until just combined. Beat in the melted chocolate.
4. Pour mixture into prepared cake pan, and pop onto a tray as the butter in the biscuit base may ooze out while baking. Bake 1¼ hours or until just set but still a little wobbly in the centre, then turn off oven. Leave cheesecake in warm oven for one hour (this will help prevent cracking) and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, but overnight is best.
Serve with berries and cream – yum!
